    The 174 Trust is a non-denominational Christian organisation that facilitates a variety of essential community projects in North Belfast. Located in the New Lodge community, the Trust offers opportunities and assistance to people of all ages. The 174 Trust is committed to a process of community development based on building relationships with local people, working together to identify and meet local needs. The 174 Trust also annualy hosts the very successful Irish Language Event, the McCracken Summer School each July.

  • Colmcille

    The vision of Colmcille is "a vibrant interactive Gaelic community spanning Ireland and Scotland". The organisation is named after the 6th century Saint Colum Cille. It works where the Gaelic speakers of Ireland and Scotland meet; and works to bring them together. Colmcille also promotes awareness of Gaelic language and culture: it has offices in Scotland, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
  • Conradh na Gaeilge (The Gaelic League)

    Conradh na Gaeilge is the main voluntary community organisation that promotes the Irish language in Ireland and abroad, and its main aim is to reinstate the Irish language as the common tongue of Ireland. Since its foundation on 31 July 1893 members of the Conradh have been actively promoting Irish in every aspect of life in Ireland, from legal and educational affairs to the development of new media and services through Irish.
